About Me

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
I am married to my loving husband for more than 45 years now. I am a mother to 3 beautiful children, until years ago when I lost my youngest son. Since then my life is forever altered but yet unbroken....

My Travel Journal

"There isn't much I haven't shared with you along the road and through it all there'd always be tomorrow's episode" - Elton John

I started traveling around the world since early 80s when I had the opportunity to combine business trips with vacations. Then later when my rezeki is in abundance, there were numerous other trips along the way for vacations, most of the time with hubby and the kids when the timing is right. I have also started to compile the journal and photo-pages covering almost more than 45 years of world wide travel. Some destinations I visited just once, others many times. Many of those places are the obvious famous places people would like to visit but some, the casual traveler doesn't even think to try. I have placed links to my travel at the side bar of my personal page, My Life Reflections, and will be updating them from time to time.

My wish is to continue my travel and complete circumnavigate the globe, insyaAllah…

Day 21: Year-end Trip: Hatyai - KL

"Be careful who you get on your ship, because some people will sink the whole ship just because they can't be the captain"

(The sky was bright and clear this morning)

Day 21: Wednesday, 04 January 2023
Route: Hat Yai to Kuala Lumpur
Distance: 534 km
Location: Home Sweet Home

We had nasi dagang and roti canai breakfast at Restoran Khaled. There is another Muslim restaurant around the corner but we are yet to try their dishes.

(The nasi dagang is delicious)

By 8.00 am we drove out of Hatyai towards the Thailand/Malaysia border. Immigration and custom clearance were fast at both borders. We paid B30 for Immigration clearance at the Thailand border.

(The morning view of Hatyai from our room)
(Driving on a wet and slippery road)
(The border is already busy)

Traffic was clear when we drove towards south except for a slight jam at Juru. We had bawal goreng for lunch at Restoran Ikan Bawal Kelapa Sawit in Juru. Had our bigfoot cleaned at the automatic car wash nearby and refuelled at the Petronas petrol station.

(Traffic jam and comfort break at Gurun R&R)
(Crispy bawal goreng for lunch, again)
(A visit to an automatic car wash)

We stopped at Simpang Pulai for our jamak prayers. It was raining heavily all the way to Selayang. Had an early dinner of nasi lemak at Restoran Nasi Lemak Ujang at Bandar Baru Selayang before we drove home.

(A brief stop at Simpang Pulai)
(Nasi Lemak Ujang for hungry tummies)

Reached our Bidara house just before Maghrib. Alhamdulillah....

(It's time to unpack)
