I am married to my loving husband for more than 40 years now. I am a mother to 3 beautiful children, until years ago when I lost my youngest son. Since then my life is forever altered but yet unbroken....

My Travel Journal

"There isn't much I haven't shared with you along the road and through it all there'd always be tomorrow's episode" - Elton John

I started traveling around the world since early 80s when I had the opportunity to combine business trips with vacations. Then later when my rezeki is in abundance, there were numerous other trips along the way for vacations, most of the time with hubby and the kids when the timing is right. I have also started to compile the journal and photo-pages covering almost more than 45 years of world wide travel. Some destinations I visited just once, others many times. Many of those places are the obvious famous places people would like to visit but some, the casual traveler doesn't even think to try. I have placed links to my travel at the side bar of my personal page, My Life Reflections, and will be updating them from time to time.

My wish is to continue my travel and complete circumnavigate the globe, insyaAllah…

10 Kembara Ramadhan - KL

"Calm mind brings inner strength and self-confidence, so that's very important for good health..." - Dalai Lama

(Masjid at-Taiyyibin Taman Bidara)

Day 10: Monday, 10 April 2023
Route: Alor Setar  - KL
Distance: 430 km

Life is too short to stress yourself.

Last night we were informed by the front desk that for sahur the hotel will send packed food to our room. By 5.00 am when there was no sign of our packed food, we went to check. There was a buffet served at the dining hall instead and the guests were not informed. Many nearly missed their sahur because of the misunderstanding.

I was not blaming anybody, but I was blaming myself for expecting too much...

(Having a very late sahur)
(Empty dining hall at 5.30 am)

We checked out about noon and drove southbound on PLUS highway. We detoured to Masjid Jamek Changkat Jering to perform our solat jamak Zohor/Asar. The mosque is about five minutes drive from Changkat Jering Toll Plaza. It is fully air-conditioned with ample parking space.

After a brief stop at Simpang Pulai we drove non-stop towards KL.

(A cool day for a relaxing drive southbound)
(Detoured to Masjid Jamek Changkat Jering)
(Jemaah waiting for zohor prayers)
(We have been here on a few occasions)
(Spacious and musafir-friendly mosque)
(A brief comfort stop at Simpang Pulai rest area)

Arrived at our Bidara house about 5.30 pm, ample time to unload our luggage and took a refreshing shower before going to our Masjid at-Taiyibbin for iftar and solat terawih.

Alhamdulillah...

(Iftar of Nasi Briyani and chicken curry)
(Tazkirah Ramadhan after Tarawih prayers at Majid at-Taiyibbin)
(Our Bidara house, home sweet home)
