About Me

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
I am married to my loving husband for more than 45 years now. I am a mother to 3 beautiful children, until years ago when I lost my youngest son. Since then my life is forever altered but yet unbroken....

My Travel Journal

"There isn't much I haven't shared with you along the road and through it all there'd always be tomorrow's episode" - Elton John

I started traveling around the world since early 80s when I had the opportunity to combine business trips with vacations. Then later when my rezeki is in abundance, there were numerous other trips along the way for vacations, most of the time with hubby and the kids when the timing is right. I have also started to compile the journal and photo-pages covering almost more than 45 years of world wide travel. Some destinations I visited just once, others many times. Many of those places are the obvious famous places people would like to visit but some, the casual traveler doesn't even think to try. I have placed links to my travel at the side bar of my personal page, My Life Reflections, and will be updating them from time to time.

My wish is to continue my travel and complete circumnavigate the globe, insyaAllah…

2018 Solo 4ND: 01 Changloon - Phuket

"To dare is to lose one’s footing momentarily. To not dare is to lose oneself..." - Søren Kierkegaard

(Lunch break at Thung Song R&R)

Date: 11 Sep 2018 (Tuesday)
Route: Changloon – Phuket
Hotel: Phuket Boomerang Inn

Border crossing at Bukit Kayu Hitam/Sadao was smooth. Drove on route 41 and then route 44 to Phuket. On the way stopped for lunch and prayer at Thung Song R&R. Arrived early in Patong Beach and checked in Phuket Boomerang Inn for 2 nights for Baht700 per night.

(My favorite broken neck salted fish)
(Simple lunch to fill hungry tummies)
(Crossing the Sarasin Bridge to Phuket)

We drove to Makham Bay and had Phadthai dinner at Darinee stall and recce Dolphin Pier. Our daughter Sara and family is on a cruise from Singapore to Phuket. Their cruise ship, The Voyager of the Sea, will be docking in Phuket tomorrow and we will be bringing the two grandchildren, Alia and Arif to Panwa Beach for a swim and then to the Aquarium if we have the time.

I wish I have your energy when I grow old! I will visit Thailand next year, already booked my AirAsia flight, airbnb accomodation, and duckferries tickets. Just hope everything will going back to normal when I visiting.

Cindy, Thailand is back to normal now. And a lot of nice places to discover. Been to Thailand twice after the pandemic, visiting the highlands of Thailand and other attractions that we have not visited before...
