My Travel Journal

"There isn't much I haven't shared with you along the road and through it all there'd always be tomorrow's episode" - Elton John

I started traveling around the world since early 80s when I had the opportunity to combine business trips with vacations. Then later when my rezeki is in abundance, there were numerous other trips along the way for vacations, most of the time with hubby and the kids when the timing is right. I have also started to compile the journal and photo-pages covering almost more than 45 years of world wide travel. Some destinations I visited just once, others many times. Many of those places are the obvious famous places people would like to visit but some, the casual traveler doesn't even think to try. I have placed links to my travel at the side bar of my personal page, My Life Reflections, and will be updating them from time to time.

My wish is to continue my travel and complete circumnavigate the globe, insyaAllah…

South America 2017: 02 Dubai - Buenos Aires

“As long as you are breathing, there is more right with you than wrong with you, no matter what is wrong...” - Jon Kabat-Zinn

(Buenos Aires International Airport)

Day 02: Tuesday, 17 Oct 2017
Route: Dubai - Buenos Aires

Boarded the 0710 hrs flight EK247 to Buenos Aires, Argentina. Arrived Buenos Aires at 1945 hrs and met our local guide Mr. Alejandro and Mr. Caesar, the driver. From the airport we were transferred to the hotel by bus. Checked-in and overnight in Buenos Aires Anselmo by Hilton Hotel in San Telmo.

(A large crowd at the airport)

The San Telmo, is a well-preserved area of the Argentine metropolis and is characterized by its colonial buildings. Cafes, tango parlors and antique shops line the cobblestone streets, which are often filled with artists and dancers. San Telmo's attractions include old churches of San Pedro Telmo, museums, antique stores and a semi-permanent antique fair in the main public square, Plaza Dorrego. Tango-related activities for both locals and tourists are in the area.
