My Travel Journal

"There isn't much I haven't shared with you along the road and through it all there'd always be tomorrow's episode" - Elton John

I started traveling around the world since early 80s when I had the opportunity to combine business trips with vacations. Then later when my rezeki is in abundance, there were numerous other trips along the way for vacations, most of the time with hubby and the kids when the timing is right. I have also started to compile the journal and photo-pages covering almost more than 45 years of world wide travel. Some destinations I visited just once, others many times. Many of those places are the obvious famous places people would like to visit but some, the casual traveler doesn't even think to try. I have placed links to my travel at the side bar of my personal page, My Life Reflections, and will be updating them from time to time.

My wish is to continue my travel and complete circumnavigate the globe, insyaAllah…

(A heavy breakfast)

We checked out early. The hotel had arranged for a taxi to send us to the airport. The van for our airport transfer picked us around 11.30 am. We arrived at the Istanbul International Airport at Arnavutköy early. The boarding gate for oir flight has yet to be confirmed.

After clearing border control and security checks, we performed our jamak prayers at one of the many suraus of the Istanbul International Airport.

Boarded our Turkish Airlines flight TK 174 bound for Sydney via KLIA at Gate D9. It was a full flight since KLIA was a layover for the final destination in Sydney, Australia. Flight TK 174 bound for KL was delayed close to an hour before take off.

(Full house on Flight TK174)

We had early dinner of chicken Shawarma with pilaf rice on board. The rest of the time on board was spent napping and listening to the in-flight music.

Day 20: 08/07/25 (Tuesday)
Destination: Home sweet home

We had breakfast of Ravioli and shawarma high above Phuket, Thailand two hours before arriving at KLIA.

Landed safely at the KLIA International Airport in Sepang. All passengers had to disembark and the continuing passengers had to go through another security check before reboarding the flight to Sydney. The KLIA Aerotrain is back in service.

Bought some Daim chocolates then collected our baggage. Took a coupon airport taxi cab to Putramas to retrieve the E300. Traffic heading to KL was quite heavy.

(Waiting for our cab)

Before we reached home we had an early lunch of nasi lemak and roti boom at Dě Maju.

After 20 days away. We were back at our home sweet home.
