About Me

I am married to my loving husband for more than 45 years now. I am a mother to 3 beautiful children, until years ago when I lost my youngest son. Since then my life is forever altered but yet unbroken....

My Travel Journal

"There isn't much I haven't shared with you along the road and through it all there'd always be tomorrow's episode" - Elton John

I started traveling around the world since early 80s when I had the opportunity to combine business trips with vacations. Then later when my rezeki is in abundance, there were numerous other trips along the way for vacations, most of the time with hubby and the kids when the timing is right. I have also started to compile the journal and photo-pages covering almost more than 45 years of world wide travel. Some destinations I visited just once, others many times. Many of those places are the obvious famous places people would like to visit but some, the casual traveler doesn't even think to try. I have placed links to my travel at the side bar of my personal page, My Life Reflections, and will be updating them from time to time.

My wish is to continue my travel and complete circumnavigate the globe, insyaAllah…

Route 12: Day 05 - Tak

“To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment...” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

(Elvis Presley in Chainàt, Thailand)

Day 05: 22 April 2025 (Tuesday)
Route: Kanchanaburi - Tak
Distance: 415 km
Hotel: Be Rich Hotel, Tak

After subuh prayers, we recited the quran while waiting for our half-boiled eggs to be ready. Last two days we had breakfast with hard-boiled eggs because we let the eggs to over cooked.

By 8.00 am we checked out and headed towards Tak. Last night I swallowed a Zyrtec pill before I slept. This morning I was feeling drowsy and nodded on and off while hubby drove. The side effect can last up to eight hours. In addition to drowsiness I was feeling overly fatigued.

It was already noon when we arrived in Nakhon Sawan. We detoured to Restoran Aminyàn Halal Food to have lunch. We ordered nasi goreng,  daging garlic pepper and tom yam with iced coffee and lime soda.  The dishes were tasty but a little pricey.

(The dishes were tasty as usual)

After lunch, drove a short distance to Masjid Nakhon Sawan and performed our solat jamak. The ladies prayer room was moved from the main prayer hall to a smaller room which is more convenient and comfortable for the ladies as it has separate washrooms, ablution area and a kitchenette.

From Nakhon Sawan, drove on AH1 highway to Tak with another break at PTT Kamphaeng Pheton for coffee and snacks. Arrived in Tak atound 6.00 pm and checked in Be Rich Hotel at Rm96/night with complementary breakfast for two. The hotel is located next to the Ping River. There is ample parking space and the room is quite spacious.
