"The amount of happiness that you have depends on the amount of freedom you have in your heart..." - Thich Nhat Hanh
This trip was made after attending a 2-week seminar organised by the Long Term Credit Bank in Tokyo. We had a fun time shopping at Stanley Market and Mong Kok Street. Our free time was spent visiting the many attractions of Hong Kong... (Ocean Park, Hong Kong) |
(The longest escalator in Asia) |
(Ferry ride and the light show at Victoria Harbour) |
(Dinner at the floating restaurant) |
(Watching the weekend light show) |
(My feet is hurting) |
(Buying more souvenirs at the airport) |
(Goodbye Hong Kong) |
With its magnificent harbour, steep peak and surrounding islands, Hong Kong is one of the world's more geographically interesting cities. The territory's is divided into four main areas - Hong Kong Island , Kowloon, the New Territories and Outlying Islands. Victoria Harbour is Hong Kong's densely populated area, with most of the urban areas lining the northern or southern shores. Originally about one mile wide, the harbour is squeezed by reclamation on both sides.
(The two of us) |
Looking back on what we've been through,
i couldn't have done it without you.
highs and lows, slow and fast,
we took everything that fate could cast.
We have said all along that we will last
Those that said we had no chance,
accept that what we have is true romance
So here's to us we'll make it through
apart from the odd hiccup or two
but we will cope from now on
because our love is still so strong.

Hi Nong, came across your blog while searching for information on Betong.
Great travel blog you have.. and it was such a great journey you had with your spouse where both of u travelled around the world since 1987 or maybe earlier.. I was just 4 years old then..
I was thrill to know you travel on bike with your hubby.. My hubby is new in bike.. I think it was because of me he venture into superbike... I adore man on superbike since young..
Hubby owned a Yamaha R1 but he crashed it a week after he bought.. Lucky that he escaped with external injuries only..but the bike suffer serious damage.. and it really make me wonder if he should quit his new toys for safety wise.. He just got back his bike but masuk kilang again as the bike speed could not reach more than 200 kmh after the crash..
He is still hoping his bike would be ready for his first trip to Betong. I wish I could join him..but riding on a Yamaha R1 can be tiring for both of us.... haha.. I could smell my pants burning...and my leg cramp after a mere 30 mins ride.. any tips?
I will follow your blog from now on.. I hope during my 30's anniversaries with my hubby, I can still enjoy my life as you do..
Take care..
Norick
