I met hubby in London. He was in London earlier to attend a seminar. The first day in London was spent on the Hop-On Hop-Off tour bus, visited Madam Tussaud, Big Ben and The London Bridge.

On the second day, we rented a car and drove to Reading where we stopped and visited the Windsor Castle, a Royal home and fortress for over 900 years. Windsor Castle is the largest occupied castle in the world and remains a working palace today. Every year The Queen takes up official residence in Windsor Castle for a month over Easter, known as Easter Court.

On the third day, we visited Bank Negara's London Representative Office in Berkely and met with my former colleagues from the Investment Department.

The rest of our free time we spend roaming the West End, where most of the attractions are. Culturally, at least, London is gleaming with civic pride. New galleries, such as the Tate Modern, and refurbishments to old institutions, the Victoria and Albert Museum, Tate Britain have given London a cultural boost not witnessed since the Victorian era.

Better yet, the introduction of free entry to museums means that, despite the drop in tourism, visitor numbers are healthy.
