"Life is a journey, with problems to solve, lessons to learn, but most of all, experiences to enjoy..."

Day 11: 3 Dec 2017 (Sunday)
Route: Ho Chi Minh Mekong Tour
Hotel: Guy Hua Hotel, Ho Chi Minh

Today we went for a full-day Mekong Delta tour which cost us USD15/person.

Boarded the Mekong tour bus with Malaysian, Singapore and Brunei tourists. The journey to the Mekong River Pier took us about 2 hours. Stopped for 40 minutes for toilet break and shopping. Prices of goods in Vietnam were quite cheap.

(Plenty of street foods in town)
(A shopping heaven for tourists)

Visited coconut candy factory, honey and fruit orchards on two islands on the Mekong, the Dragon and the Unicorn. Had lunch and performed our prayers at a Saniza Nawiyah Muslim Restaurant on one of the islands.

(A tour bus loaded with tourists)
(Visiting a few shopping outlets)
(Waiting for the boat at the pier)
(A cool coconut juice on the boat)
(The boat ride to two islands)
(Vietnamese handicrafts on sale)
(At an Art Exhibition)

Later rode on a horse-carriage and the sampan on the narrow stream among the diminishing Nipah trees. On the way back to the city, the bus stopped at an outlet selling telekong, materials and ready-made baju kurung.

Arrived in town just in time for dinner at one of the many Halal Restaurants on the street.

(A short trip on a horse carriage)
(A hot Honey Lemon drink)
(A snake show)
(A sumptuous seafood lunch)
(Local handicraft: A carving of an old man)
