DAY 04: Thursday (26 Mar 2015)
Route: Miri - Bintulu - Sibu
Total distance: 420 km
Hotel: RH Hotel

We had an early breakfast at the hotel café. The weather was sunny and clear when we started riding. We stopped at the junction leading to Taman Negara Gua Niah and bade goodbye to the Miri bikers who escorted us this far.

(Exchanges of banners and tokens with Miri Bikers)
(Riding out of Miri town, escorted)
(A short break before a long tiring ride)

We continued riding towards Bintulu and Sibu. Today’s journey was monotonous and uneventful. The road is mostly good but at certain places, it becomes undulating and bumpy. When we arrived in Bintulu we were greeted and later escorted by the Bintulu Bikers to Dapur Abang Mat for lunch. We stopped for refueling at a petrol station in Tatau and this was where I had a refreshing nap in the surau while the rest waited for nothing in particular.

(Riding in a hot and humid weather)
(Straight road and clear blue sky)
(Riding on the right side of the road, overtaking traffic)
(Escorted by Bintulu riders)
(Riding in Bintulu town)
(We are half-way to Sibu, Dato Wilson and Dato Dr Faizal)
(The KeTaM riders, still energetic and cheery)
(A brief stop at one JPJ office)
(Lunch at Dapur Abang Mat)
(A Bintulu biker with King Ipin)

It was a long stop and a long wait in a weather so hot and humid. By the time we started riding again everyone was tired and drenched in sweat. It was a long tiring ride to Sibu and one rider had a slight mishap when his motorbike spun wild at a traffic light. I guess fatigue was the cause of this incident. Although the injury he suffered was minor, he was obviously shaken to the bone.

(Refuelling at Petronas in Tatau)
(Riding towards Sibu town)
(Grouping after the slight incident)

By 1545 we arrived at RH Hotel in Sibu. We had ample time to rest and took a short nap till dusk. At 1930 we gathered at the hotel lobby and rode to Razz Chopper Merchandise Shop and had dinner at the restaurant owned by Rafie, the owner of the Merchandise Shop who owns four awesome Harley Davidsons.

((Our lodging for the night)
(Quite a happening place)
(Ready to ride at night)
(What an awesome ride)
